VO Description:
Scottish, Commanding to Friendly, Funny with good comedic timing, Determined
Santino stared in Tom Stoppard’s “The Real Thing” which toured the country performing in places such as Theatre Royal Bath, Rose Theatre and Cambridge Arts Theatre. He then went on to co-write (with Scott Mackie) his first play, “The Unemployed Actors Union”, which enjoyed a successful run at The White Bear Theatre in Kennington.
He then went on to appear in Jezz Butterworth’s world-renowned play “Jerusalem” which played at The Watermill Theatre before going back to The White Bear Theatre for his second co-written play (with Scott Mackie) “AFTERS”. This production received many four- & five-star reviews whilst in London before heading up to The Old Hairdressers pub theatre in Glasgow for another successful run. The play was due to play at on the Pleasance theatre venues at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in the summer of 2020 before Coronavirus hit and the festival was cancelled.
Recently, Santino has just finished production of “Sadie”, which is a new play by David Ireland and was performed at the Lyric Theatre in Belfast. This play was broadcast live on BBC4 and can be seen on iPlayer for the next year.
Santino also his own writing page on Instagram called “Poems ‘N’ Patter” where he writes down small monologues and poems which are performed by various actors each week.
Santino has performed in a various comedy sketches for the BBC Social as well with a few more in the pipeline yet to be released.
